Student volunteers for UW Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability planted 75 new native trees along the Montlake Cut today. The project was funded by a $10,000 grant won in a video competition sponsored by Odwalla in the spring. By replanting native trees, the students hope to reduce invasive species and add more natural beauty to the Cut. Thanks to all involved and especially to the newbie trees.
