Recent weekend lane closures of Montlake Blvd have allowed contractors to erect formwork for the new pedestrian bridge at UW Station. The bridge will let walkers and bikers reach the Burke Gilman Trail, the Rainier Vista and central campus without mixing with traffic on the boulevard.
Bridge construction is expected to wrap up by May 2013, with station construction continuing until 2016 when light rail will become operational.
