Expect slow going for cars traveling through Montlake this weekend.

The 520 Bridge will close 11pm Friday, August 10th until 5 am Monday between Montlake Blvd and I-405 in Bellevue. Construction crews working on eastside lids will use roadway access to demolish the old Bellevue Way NE overpass and build a fish culvert under the highway.

Lake Washington Blvd in the Arboretum will close 9pm Friday, August 10th until 9pm Sunday (or “Monday morning“) for road improvement work. Crews will install a raised crosswalk near Interlaken Dr and other traffic calming “speed cushions,” add LED street lights and paint new road markings including bicycle sharrows.

Sound Transit contractors will close all but one southbound lane on Montlake Blvd near UW Station from 7pm Friday, August 10th until 5am Saturday morning. Northbound traffic will detour onto NE Pacific Street and then NE Pacific Place during these hours. Then, from 5am Saturday until 6pm Saturday evening, crews will alternate northbound and southbound one-lane closures. Expect delays between the Montlake Bridge and U-Village.
