The eldest 520 Bridge eaglet, Beatrice, has left the Broadmoor nest and has not been seen since Thursday. Parents Albert and Eva (widow of Eddie) have apparently gone with the fledgling on this first trip, leaving the second eaglet, Eleanor, back at the nest on its own.
The timing of this first eagle flight is interesting, given all the Seafair boat traffic on the Montlake Cut and Union Bay — and Blue Angels overhead. If you’re on Lake Washington this weekend, or driving over 520, send out a tweet if you see the young eagle and parents out-and-about.
